🎒✨ Empowering Students, Supporting Teachers: PENCIL Is Changing Lives in Nashville!

PENCIL (Pencil for Schools) strengthens Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) by connecting businesses, universities, and community groups with local schools to bridge resource gaps and support student success. Through partnerships, supply donations, and volunteer initiatives, PENCIL:

Facilitates 815 partnerships, provides $2.91 million in supplies, and logs 27,204 volunteer hours.

Operates the DG PENCIL Box, a free “shopping” resource for teachers to obtain classroom supplies.

Offers Connected Literacy Tutors, where volunteers deliver high-impact literacy tutoring to K–3 students.

Runs the Together 4 Teachers campaign, delivering tote bags filled with much-needed supplies to every MNPS teacher.
